Garden rooms can fit almost any requirement, from art studios to gyms, and yoga rooms to office spaces, and we always love to hear of the many ways in which our customers are using their garden spaces. This lovely garden room in Tunbridge Wells was designed especially to use as a music studio, so that our client could take their work and hobby outside of the house into a purpose-built space.

When building a garden music studio, an important element is the acoustics and sound proofing, to make sure that both the musician and their neighbours are not disturbed! Although technically sound ‘proofing’ is not possible in our garden studios, we can offer a selection of upgrades which help to reduce the impact of sound on its environment. In this particular project we added acoustic insulation using SoundBloc plasterboard. This clever insulation material has a high-density core which enhances the sound insulation properties of the building.

We began planning this project with our client back in summer 2017 when they were in the process of buying their new property. Between exchange and completion they had booked our team and approved our designs, so we were on site almost as soon as the keys were in their hands. In less than 2 weeks the room was ready to use, and the customer was ready to settle in their brand-new home and music studio without any further disruption.

Whether you’re looking for a garden music room with sound insulation, a garden gym with reinforced flooring, or a garden office with storage, we can help to create a room to bring your work and hobbies to life.
