Luxury Garden Studio for Rest and Relaxation in Leatherhead

‘Mindfulness’, ‘wellbeing’ and ‘self-care’ are the buzzwords on everyone’s lips at the moment, and we are all becoming much more aware of the importance of putting aside time to focus on ourselves. Sometimes it’s hard to make this time (and truly relax) when surrounded by the busy day-to-day goings-on of your home, so having a dedicated space at the end of your garden where you shut away the rest of the world for an hour is a very appealing concept for many.

Relaxation and indulgence were key ingredients in the brief for this luxury garden room in Leatherhead, as we worked with our client to create a space for relaxing, reading, movie nights and even the occasional work-out. Our client’s lounge space in their house was on the smaller side, so the idea of having another room where their extended family could relax and watch a film together was a big motivation for this garden room project.

This bespoke garden room was built around an L-shaped design, into which we incorporated an eco-toilet (for added practicality and increasing the use to an overnight space when required) and also a small integrated store; a new place to house all the contents of the shed.

All tailor-made eDEN Garden Rooms come with a whole host of high-end features as standard, including high quality insulation, thermo-efficient windows and doors and luxurious underfloor heating. However, our customers always have the option to add their own extras, and this client also invested in an air conditioning unit which both heats and cools the room  (whilst also keeping the standard underfloor heating so they can enjoy extra toasty toes in the winter!).

The garden room features two sets of bi-fold doors which let in floods of light, and gives the option to open the room up to the garden in warmer months, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor environment. We also incorporated a large decking veranda to the front of the garden room; the perfect spot to sit and relax throughout the summer.
